WashingtonExec has awarded LMI Chief Performance Officer Suzan Cengiz with the Longevity Award, which recognizes executives who have made outstanding contributions to their companies throughout the years.

Cengiz has been with LMI for almost 22 years. Her many roles have included running large programs, leading M&A integration, standing up the growth function, establishing the transformation management office, setting a new growth strategy and transforming LMI from a hierarchy to a matrix operating model.

Her first LMI role was as an enterprise architect leading digital transformation and business transformation. She then went on to increasingly more senior roles within the organization. Two years ago, she was named chief performance officer, leading LMI’s performance and business operations, encompassing integrated workforce management; the Program Management Center of Excellence; enterprise IT; services, contracts and subcontracts; quality management; and ethics and compliance, and strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions integration.

Cengiz has guided LMI through significant transformations and acquisitions, including the most recent shift from not-for-profit to for-profit operations and led the split of the two entities. Her proven track record of transforming organizations and operations has resulted in a more scalable and effective organization with increased revenue and profit. And as a colleague, Cengiz is known to inspire others. She’s a lifelong learner always looking to keep her skills razor-sharp and seek out new knowledge.

In a time when job hopping happens more than ever and phrases like “quiet quitting” have become popular, the Longevity Award honors an executive’s long-standing commitments to one company. This award recognizes their contributions to organizational growth, culture, mentorship, and knowledge sharing; plus, the journey of evolving and growing with an organization’s success.

WashingtonExec is honored to present this award to Cengiz to celebrate her two decades of excellence. Founded in 1961, LMI continues to enable growth and transformation, enhance operational readiness and resiliency, and ensure mission success for federal civilian and defense agencies.

    Congratulations, Suzan!
