(From left to right) WashingtonExec’s Founder and CEO JD Kathuria presents CGI Federal’s Gregg Mossburg with a Longevity Award, accompanied by CGI Federal President Stephanie Mango.

WashingtonExec has awarded CGI Federal Senior Vice President and head of its Strategic Operations Group Gregg Mossburg with the Longevity Award, which recognizes executives who have made outstanding contributions to their companies throughout the years.

In a time when job hopping happens more than ever and phrases like “quiet quitting” have become popular, the Longevity Award honors an executive’s long-standing commitments to one company. This award recognizes their contributions to organizational growth, culture, mentorship and knowledge sharing; plus, the journey of evolving and growing with an organization’s success.

CGI Federal’s Gregg Mossburg and Stephanie Mango.

Looking back at Mossburg’s many accomplishments and tenure with CGI Federal, it’s clear he embodies the spirit of this inaugural loyalty award.

Over the past three decades, Mossburg has shown tremendous leadership. He’s built meaningful relationships within the organization and outside, and has dedicated himself to cultivating the next generation of consultants working in support of the company’s government clients.

Thirty years ago, after graduating from James Madison, Mossburg joined American Management Systems, which later became CGI Federal. He was looking for a technical career ⏤ and he got exactly that. Throughout the years, Mossburg discovered his true passion was business development, so he pivoted and began to lead CGI’s federal business development organization.

As a business development executive, Mossburg has been instrumental in growing the company’s ability to capture and deliver significant mission-based contracts that support the federal government and its mission. He’s also helped secure several managed services contracts valued over $250 million.

That work led to other opportunities for Mossburg. He was asked to lead the Commercial and State and Local Business Unit in New York City. After doing that, he came back in 2016 to lead the Strategic Operations Group. Since then, Mossburg has spearheaded efforts to turn the company’s sales culture into a consultative lead sales operation.

And throughout all this, Mossburg has had one guiding philosophy: to create an environment where we all enjoy working together to build a company we can be proud of.

Because of all of this, we couldn’t think of a better candidate to receive our inaugural Longevity Award. Congratulations, Gregg!
