    James Hannah

Global CIO & Senior Vice President for Supply Chain, GDIT

James Hannah’s biggest recent achievement was the realignment of his organization to respond to the needs of the business in an agile manner.

“We are now hyper-focused on the development of our IT strategic plan, aligning with the business and providing outcomes that generate growth,” he said.

Hannah’s organization is conducting ideation sessions to understand where the business needs to focus for continual and sustained growth. For example, the SC360 initiative that went live this year is providing better supply chain management and operational capabilities to the team and business partners. This has been an accelerator for the business in delivering procurement in a more agile and secure manner for customers.

“My team is committed to the customer’s mission to keep our nation safe from those that would do us harm,” Hannah said. “Our cyber team is consistently working with our customer to share information and ideas around zero trust, updates to the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), and transparency within our supply chain risk management framework. I am proud to lead such a team.”

    Why Watch

Now that it has successfully realigned the organization, Hannah’s team is heavily focused on enhancing employee engagement and commitment within the business. His team provides employees solutions that allow them to collaborate more effectively as they are transitioning to a hybrid working environment.

The employee experience is a key component of the workforce planning and collaborative strategy to ensure employees feel they are a critical part of the organization while working from a remote location. “At GDIT, we want every employee to be seen and heard,” Hannah said.

“Honesty, trust, transparency and alignment are the ethos in which we operate at GDIT,” he added. “These are not just words on a page but how we conduct our daily business and interactions with our employees and customers. It is also the reason I know I have the pleasure of working with some of the best in the business as we serve our customer’s mission.”
