Matthew Ramsey

CIO, BlueHalo

Matt Ramsey spent over 35 years supporting the U.S. government and commercial sectors with unique technology solutions to enable offensive and defensive operations. Now, he drives BlueHalo’s IT and cybersecurity strategy to support the business and its processes as the company continues to grow.

Ramsey’s career started in government, working in various roles from deploying with a national-level tactical incident response team, to developing and deploying technology, to performing human-enabled operations while living overseas. He transitioned into the commercial sector to pursue new ventures while still supporting the government. As CEO and founder of Excivity, Inc., he and his team built and sold the company to BlueHalo in early 2020.

BlueHalo was formed with the vision of developing next-generation capabilities that solve complex customer challenges and reestablishing the nation’s security posture in the near-peer-contested arena. This formation kicked off a series of acquisitions requiring the need to integrate quickly without interrupting business operations.

“Our organization was able to build both a secure and compliant infrastructure that could scale based on BlueHalo’s growth strategy in the defense industrial base,” Ramsey said. “It was truly a team effort executed by BlueHalo’s vice president of IT, his team of talented IT professionals, and our external migration partner.”

Why Watch

Over the last 2.5 years, Ramsey and his team established a solid foundation onto which BlueHalo can scale its organic growth and quickly migrate and integrate acquisitions to enable culture and collaboration within the company.

“Matt has played a significant role in allowing BlueHalo to grow rapidly while continuing to deliver world-class products and expertise to our customers,” said Jonathan Moneymaker, CEO of BlueHalo. “His unique insight and approach continue to add tangible value to the organization and our customers.”
