    Thomas “Tom” Terjesen

CIO, Senior Vice President, ASRC Federal

Leveraging 20 years of experience leading the integration of trustworthy IT infrastructure and processes across organizations, Tom Terjesen has made great strides to transform his team’s IT capabilities in his brief six-month tenure with the company.

Terjesen developed ASRC Federal’s IT strategy for 2022, working to accommodate business objectives, improve employee experience and position IT as a critical enabler of the company’s operations and overall success.

This process included implementing a ServiceNow employee resource center, which encouraged troubleshooting and self-service for many IT, facilities, HR and finance requests, leading to a 10% decrease in calls to the service desk in just two months. Additionally, Terjesen is prepared to guide the company IT infrastructure through future acquisitions, ensuring streamlined operations and strategy through the standardization of tools, practices and procedures.

    Why Watch

This year, Terjesen’s team will provide more accessible data to enable real-time decisions for ASRC Federal business managers. The team will achieve this by consolidating the company’s data and presenting it through business intelligence.  Additionally, his team will introduce a hyperconverged data center infrastructure. They will implement software-as-a-service and cloud systems where appropriate, while maintaining secure networks to safeguard customers’ data.

“Continuous IT modernization and growth are essential to digital transformation,” Terjesen said. “Our team will continue to invest time and effort into our IT infrastructure to ensure we’re delivering the most dynamic and advantageous services to our customers and aligning to our organization’s goals for growth.”
