Cognosante has won a Defense Health Agency indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity multiple-award contract to provide knowledge translation services and research and development support to the Defense Department.

The $10 billion DHA Omnibus contract vehicle intends to enhance warfighter health and readiness by integrating the latest medical knowledge and solutions into the Military Health System.

“We are thrilled to be among those selected for the DHA Omnibus IV IDIQ,” said Philip Dietz, general manager of Cognosante’s military and veterans health business unit.

The current iteration, Omnibus IV, builds upon the work of its predecessors by specifically addressing translation science, a specialty field focused on transitioning research into practice.

“This win builds upon our extensive implementation science experience in the Military Health System and offers new opportunities to demonstrate value through impactful work that supports the health and readiness of the warfighter,” Dietz said.

The award positions Cognosante to pursue task orders as a prime contractor under market segment 4: translational science support and services; and as a subcontractor for both market segment 4 and market segment 2: R&D support services.

“Cognosante is a recognized partner to the Defense Health Agency in its efforts to implement research-back solutions across the Military Health System,” Dietz said. “We look forward to the opportunity to expand our existing capabilities and infrastructure in service to the DoD and DHA.”
