Defense Department Chief Information Officer John Sherman is set to speak June 8 before a gathering of intelligence community professionals.
The event is part of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance’s Leadership Dinner series and is expected to draw several hundred people at Hilton McLean Tysons Corner in Virginia. There will be opportunities to gain insight into the DOD’s strategic outlook for digital modernization and cybersecurity. Topics for discussion include enabling the DOD’s intelligence missions, CMMC and zero trust implementation, efforts to protect the defense industrial base, the role of DOD’s new chief digital and artificial intelligence officer, strengthening industry engagement and a JWCC update.
A question-and-answer time will follow a moderated conversation between Sherman and former Defense Intelligence Agency Director Robert “Bob” P. Ashley Jr., who retired as a lieutenant general in 2020.
Registration and a welcome reception begin 5:30 p.m. with the program kicking off 7:30 p.m. All attendees must provide proof of vaccination at event registration, either hard copy or electronic documentation.
