General Dynamics Information Technology has appointed Kristin Seaver as vice president of strategic client engagement,  responsible for bolstering client engagement with federal civilian agencies.

Prior to joining GDIT, Seaver served at the U.S. Postal Service for more than 30 years in different leadership positions, including chief retail and delivery officer, incident commander — coronavirus pandemic and chief information officer.

“Kristin is an accomplished executive with a wealth of experience in all aspects of government operations, technology, and logistics,” said Jylinda Johnson, GDIT vice president and general manager for government operations. “Her expertise will play a critical role in supporting our customers’ digital transformation goals and mission objectives.”

As the pandemic incident commander, Seaver led engagements across major stakeholders, including Congress, USPS board of governors and leaders of labor organizations. As CIO, she led enterprisewide digital transformation to modernize legacy technology and capture business insights from USPS’ large data sets.

Seaver also oversaw the deployment of the technologies behind online services like Informed Delivery, and helped strengthen the security posture of USPS.
