Holly Joers, program executive officer for the Program Executive Office of Defense Healthcare Management Systems, has won WashingtonExec’s 2021 Pinnacle Award for DOD Government Executive of the Year.
WashingtonExec on Dec. 8 virtually unveiled the winners of the Pinnacle Awards, an annual program that embodies the WashingtonExec spirit of highlighting successful executives and businesses saving money and fostering innovation for federal clients across the region.
Joers noted that she’s extremely proud to be delivering a single, common federal electronic health record for service members, their families and veterans.
“As the wife of a retired Air Force officer and daughter of an Army veteran, this mission is extremely personal to me,” Joers told WashingtonExec. “We are transforming health care and ultimately aimed at enhancing outcomes and improving the patient experience.”
