In this episode of “Givers of GovCon,” we chat with Kirk Windmueller, senior manager for business development for Avantus Federal, and retired Green Beret and Army veteran with over 22 years of service. Windmueller shares the challenges veterans face when transitioning out of service, why he volunteers for Project Transition USA and how he helped find Operation Recover.

Plus, Avantus Federal is hosting an exclusive charitable event May 17 at the SOFIC conference in Tampa, Florida, with 100% of event proceeds benefiting organizations that support the Special Operations community. Together with Far Ridgeline Engagements, Avantus will be showing the first-ever public screening of “Last Out: Elegy of a Green Beret,” a realistic stage presentation about the true cost of war, told by the warriors and families who lived it. Tune into Windmueller’s episode above to learn more about the event and movie.

Tickets to the event can be found here.
