    Jennifer Chronis, Verizon

    Jennifer Chronis

Senior Vice President, Public Sector, Verizon

Under Jennifer Chronis’ leadership, Verizon was selected for a number of major federal contract awards in 2021, solidifying its leadership in the public sector market.

To date, Verizon ranks No. 1 in enterprise infrastructure solutions federal task orders already funded (over 40%), including a clean sweep of nearly $890 million in Labor Department EIS awards.

Also through the EIS vehicle, Verizon is overseeing a major network modernization initiative for the Air National Guard, providing voice and data modernization at the Energy Department. It is also serving as the digital transformation partner to Naval District Washington as that agency upgrades key network infrastructure.

In addition to leading the market in EIS task order awards, Verizon was also recently selected to provide its ultra-fast 5G Ultra Wideband to seven Air Force Reserve Command installations across the U.S.

Building on its work with the Defense Department, Verizon last year also won a $495 million contract to deliver next-generation services in support of the Defense Department’s High Performance Computing Modernization Program and Defense Research and Engineering Network.

    Why Watch

Verizon Public Sector is a company to watch when it comes to expanding its 5G portfolio with the federal government. Look for the company to build on its 2021 momentum as DOD leaders continue to emphasize the need for 5G and advanced wireless technologies to meet the mission of tomorrow.
