    Top 35 Execs to Watch in 2022: ManTech’s Matt Tait

    From helping orchestrate the largest acquisition in ManTech’s history to standing up three business sectors in the midst of a pandemic to supporting an employee-led charitable donations program making a difference for frontline workers, Matt Tait is leading in areas that matter.

    Tait has recently been heavily involved in standing up customer-specific sectors for the business — defense, intelligence and federal civilian; helping orchestrate the acquisition of Gryphon Technologies, which added 1,500 highly skilled employee and exponentially grew ManTech’s expertise in Model-Based System Engineering; and supporting a charitable matching program for employee-led donations that raised $2 million for charities in support of frontline workers in more than 50 organizations during the pandemic.

    “Matt is a dynamic leader,” said Kevin M. Phillips, chairman and CEO of ManTech. “As COO, he is leading the charge in driving innovation into customer programs to deliver solutions when and where our ManTech customers need them most.”

    The ManTech team is heavily focused on ensuring the success of its 2023 strategic plan with innovative technologies, customer-focused partnerships — and retaining and attracting great people, Tait said. The company is also investing in key technology areas and strengthening public/private partnerships.

    Through ManTech’s innovation and capabilities office, the company is investing in key technology focus areas that meet the mission critical needs of customers in the defense, intelligence and federal civilian sectors. 

    “I believe that every day is a good day — and it is up to each of us to make it a great day,” Tait said. “Nothing great was ever accomplished without purpose. Every morning when I wake up, I start the day by asking myself, ‘What else can I do to help defend this great nation?’”
