General Dynamics Information Technology has been awarded a $95 million enterprise IT services contract by AmeriCorps.

The 5-year contract includes a base period of nine months, four option periods of one year, followed by one option period of three months.

AmeriCorps serves 40,000 communities across the country, promoting national service and volunteerism to tackle the nation’s most pressing challenges. Under the contract, GDIT will modernize and operate the agency’s IT enterprise by providing managed services, cloud, digital modernization, and cybersecurity services to support AmeriCorps’ operations.

“Our services will modernize AmeriCorps’ IT operations and increase overall productivity,” said Jylinda Johnson, GDIT vice president and general manager for government operations. “As a longtime partner, we are honored to support AmeriCorps and play our part in serving communities across America.”

Services will include cloud management and integration, systems and application modernization, security management, and operations center support.

GDIT will also leverage its relationship with Microsoft Azure to deliver a platform as a service offering that enhances productivity and supports the agency’s mission nationwide.
