    Carey Smith

    President & CEO, Parsons Corp.

Under Carey Smith’s leadership, large strategic wins have driven Parsons’ strong book-to-bill ratios in its federal solutions and critical infrastructure business segments.

And that’s thanks to six acquisitions over the last three-and-a-half years, including those of BlackHorse Solutions and Echo Ridge in 2021 — acquisitions that along with internal organic investment have transformed the company into a differentiated solutions integrator.

Having worked at Parsons for five years in various high-level roles —  including as president of federal solutions and as chief operating officer — Smith was unanimously elected company president and CEO in July 2021.

“Under Carey’s leadership, innovation goes far beyond a buzzword — it is the company’s approach to everything we do, and in our identity as a company,” said Jason Yaley, Parsons chief communications officer.

    Why Watch

With a portfolio well aligned to national security needs, Parsons welcomes opportunities presented by the recent passage of the national infrastructure bill as Smith and her team focus on organic growth.

“We are driving to have top positions in high growth, profitable and enduring markets,” Smith said. “These include the federal markets of cybersecurity, space, missile defense, C5ISR and security and sustainability and the critical infrastructure markets of bridges, roads and highways, water/wastewater treatment, environmental remediation, aviation and rail and transit.”
