    Chris Stone

Vice President, Supply Chain Operations, Lockheed Martin Corp.

Chris Stone joined Lockheed Martin in 2021 after 25 years of leading operations and supply chain teams at Aerojet Rocketdyne, Textron, Smiths Aerospace and within the Army.

In 2021, Stone and the supply chain leadership team embarked on a multiyear journey to evolve performance, resiliency and competitiveness across business areas and with more than 17,000 suppliers.

As the pandemic progressed, the team began implementing improvements while continuing to execute for customers and provide critical financial support to supplier partners. Last year, Lockheed Martin accelerated over $24 billion in cash payments to suppliers to help ensure their business continuity.

“I am proud of how the supply chain organization stepped up in 2021,” Stone said. “We continue to execute and adjust, delivering for our customers while driving the improvements needed for the future.”

    Why Watch

In 2022, Lockheed Martin’s supply chain team will launch a new electronic enterprise integration hub for its supply base and make improvements to integrate supplier relationship management across the corporation. These efforts are part of an ongoing plan to optimize the organization for the future, transform the way it collaborates with and manages its suppliers, and streamline operations with the supply base.

Mark Stewart, Lockheed Martin’s senior vice president of operations, is championing the supply chain transformation the company has undertaken.

“It is critical we develop a discriminating supply chain as a competitive advantage as we drive next-generation capabilities across our operations, quality, supply chain and program management organizations,” he said.
