Artificial intelligence and data science expert Michael Scruggs has been named Accenture Federal Services’ applied intelligence lead.
“I’m thrilled to join Accenture Federal Services where I look forward to leading the applied intelligence team in delivering innovative solutions involving predictive analytics, machine learning (ML), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and edge solutions,” he said.
Scruggs previously served as senior vice president of AI at SAIC and brings more than 20 years of experience bringing data science and AI solutions to market.
“Scruggs’ impressive track record in data science and artificial intelligence includes building successful sales, product, and delivery organizations to incubate and grow AI portfolios,” said AFS Senior Managing Director of Strategy & Consulting Vanessa Godshalk. “I’m confident his proven ability to design successful AI strategies will prove a significant value-add for our federal clients.”
Scruggs got his bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and an MBA in international marketing from Averett University. He was a 2021 finalist for WashingtonExec’s AI Executive of the Year.
