LMI has been selected as a Joint Artificial Intelligence Center’s Test & Evaluation blanket purchase agreement awardee under a 5-year, multiple-award agreement with a ceiling amount of $249 million.

JAIC is the Defense Department’s organization responsible for developing and furthering AI capabilities. Under the award, LMI will provide test and evaluation capabilities to support the development of ethical and responsible AI systems across DOD.

“This opportunity to expand LMI’s work in the AI space with the JAIC allows us to continue supporting our customers in meeting their critical missions and will be a critical enabler of the DoD’s broader JADC2 [Joint All-Domain Command and Control] aspirations,” said Pete Pflugrath, LMI’s senior vice president of markets and growth.

Ultimately, this governmentwide BPA will establish JAIC’s test and evaluation standards, performance metrics, evaluation criteria and best practices to facilitate automated testing of AI-enabled platforms.

LMI has partnered with JAIC since 2019, and is providing it with migration and sustainment services of DOD’s maintenance data as it transitions into its big data platform.
