Jan-Willem Bode likes to push the envelope, and through his work as an adviser to investors and large corporations, he has found innovative ways to help organizations decarbonize their supply chains while building enterprise value.

For Bode, who often partners with large B2C brands as well as the public sector, the focus is on more than just strategy and change management. It’s about connecting with the larger ecosystem to guide clients through the full lifecycle of sustainability, resiliency and recovery.

“Only by collaboration will we be able to truly move toward a net-zero economy,” he said. “It is no longer about telling each other what to do; it is only about doing, and doing it together.”

Why Watch

Next year, Bode will continue to drive progress through partnerships with big brands to move the needle further on the decarbonization of global supply chains. Together with his team, he’ll focus on developing and implementing innovative financing mechanisms that allow organizations to implement capital projects centered on low-carbon technologies and solutions, advancing the client journey toward net zero and beyond.

“Jan-Willem’s expertise in energy and sustainable finance has helped our clients to build truly resilient organizations through innovative financing, collaboration and a commitment to decarbonization,” said Jan Vrins, leader of Guidehouse’s Energy, Sustainability and Infrastructure segment. “He has been instrumental in positioning Guidehouse as the leading sustainability advisory in North America and Europe, and in driving sustainability to the benefit of our clients’ business and their communities.”
