    Mac Curtis, Perspecta Inc.

Mac Curtis, who currently serves as chairman of the board for Veritas Capital-backed Cubic Corp., will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award on May 11 at WashingtonExec’s Chief Officer Awards, celebrating decades of leadership, innovation and giving back in GovCon and beyond.

During the in-person ceremony at The Ritz-Carlton in McLean, Virginia, Curtis will be inducted by Greg Baroni, founder, chairman and CEO of Attain Partners.

In his role with Cubic Corp., Curtis works closely with the board and the company’s executive team to drive strategy and execution. He will be celebrated for his more than 30 years of leadership experience, having served as a multitime CEO in the government technology industry.

Prior to joining Cubic Corp.’s board in January, Curtis was chairman and CEO of Perspecta from June 2018 until his retirement in May 2021. During his time there, he helped create and launch Perspecta while leading the company towards becoming publicly traded. Later, he led the company through a successful sale which provided shareholders with over 45% in returns.

Before Perspecta, Curtis was the CEO of Vencore, which later merged with two other platforms to form Perspecta. Under his leadership, Vencore, and its successor company, Perspecta, grew from $815 million to over $7 billion in enterprise value. He also served as president and CEO of Vangent and held senior leadership positions at Pearson Government Solutions and DynCorp International.

Throughout his established career, Curtis has also prioritized giving back to the community. He serves on several nonprofit boards, to include the Professional Services Council, the Northern Virginia Technology Council, the Greater Washington Region of the American Heart Association and the Military Bowl/United Service Organizations board which supports wounded veterans.

“We are excited to honor Mac for his innovative leadership in GovCon and for his strong commitment to giving back and serving his community,” said JD Kathuria, founder and CEO of WashingtonExec. “Mac’s well-established industry experience includes leading transformative deals and fostering tremendous business growth and development, and his contributions deserve to be highlighted. He perfectly embodies what the Lifetime Achievement Award stands for, and we are thrilled to acknowledge his career.”

WashingtonExec’s annual Chief Officer Awards will celebrate the most impactful and innovative C-suite executives in government and industry. Nominations are open until March 4.
