CGI has been awarded a new task order by the Interior Department’s Office of Natural Resources Revenue to enhance data management.
This task order includes a 36-month period of performance with initial funding of $3.3 million and a total task order value of $12.9 million inclusive of all options.
Under the contract, CGI is to develop an innovative data management environment that will improve the collection and disbursement of federal and Indian royalties.
“CGI is proud to continue our service in delivering modern, mission-enabling solutions to Bureaus across the Department of the Interior,” said CGI Senior Vice President Stefan Becker.
Enhanced data management through the new Data Management Environment will enable ONRR to better coordinate its activities with other federal agencies to support management of oil, gas and other natural resources.
“We will leverage a proven, innovative and secure cloud-based data management environment solution that supports ONRR in its mission of ensuring the full and fair collection and disbursement of federal and Indian royalties for use of public and renewable energy and mineral resources,” Becker said.
The cloud-based, platform-as-a-service DME serves as a foundational element of ONRR’s efforts to modernize its IT systems.
