Clint Crosier, retired U.S. Air Force major general and current director of aerospace and satellite solutions at Amazon Web Services, has won WashingtonExec’s 2021 Pinnacle Award for Space Industry Executive of the Year, Public Company.
WashingtonExec on Dec. 8 virtually unveiled the winners of the Pinnacle Awards, an annual program that embodies the WashingtonExec spirit of highlighting successful executives and businesses saving money and fostering innovation for federal clients across the region.
Crosier noted a recent key achievement was launching the U.S. Space Force in 2020, and then retiring from the Air Force to stand up a new aerospace and satellite business for AWS.
“In this capacity, we have created the brand new space/cloud industry, as we focus on brining cloud solutions and technology to solve the hardest problems in the growing space industry,” he commented.
Looking ahead, Crosier is focused on helping government, civil and commercial space companies grow the global space economy and push the limits of science and discovery.
