Kimberly Myers, a principal at Deloitte and public services DE&I leader, has won WashingtonExec’s 2021 Pinnacle Award for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Industry Executive of the Year.
WashingtonExec on Dec. 8 virtually unveiled the winners of the Pinnacle Awards, an annual program that embodies the WashingtonExec spirit of highlighting successful executives and businesses saving money and fostering innovation for federal clients across the region.
Myers noted two major turning points or inflection points in her career: becoming a Ph.D. research scientist, and then using that degree in nontraditional ways to advance health across the U.S, and taking on greater leadership roles around DE&I.
“I have felt strongly that the moment demanded my involvement and leadership, and that I had something to offer to the moment,” Myers said.
Looking ahead, Myers is focused on helping organizations achieve systemic change in their workforce culture where DE&I is a necessary part of how to conduct business.
