Eric Freeman
Senior Vice President, Leidos Civil Group Integrated Missions Operation Manager
Eric Freeman is working hard to grow and strengthen Leidos’ Climate and Environmental Science business, a unit established from existing contracts and resources and builds on decades of experience serving major federal customers in energy and environment.
“Leidos is committed to environmental stewardship, and that commitment is exemplified by the important work we do for our customer,” Freeman said.
The unit recently made two strategic hires to lead business development in climate and environmental science. There are also efforts to establish a Leidos governing body that will help guide Freeman and his team in business strategy and opportunity pursuit.
“Working climate and environmental issues is an important national issue with many local touch points,” Freeman said. “Leidos has demonstrated its innovation across markets, and we’re confident that we can continue to apply this innovation in climate and environment arenas.”
Why Watch
In 2022, Freeman’s team will focus on growing its climate science business, refining strategic areas of focus and making the biggest impact for their customers and their mission needs. They will continue supporting key customers, including the departments of Defense and Energy, as well as the National Science Foundation and NASA.
“Eric Freeman’s work to build an expert climate and environmental science team will expand Leidos’ footprint in the arena and allow us to enter new markets,” said Leidos Civil Group President Jim Moos. “Under his leadership, our Climate and Environmental Science team will leverage Leidos’ strengths to implement the climate and resilience measures this administration is committed to achieving.”
