Former AMERICAN SYSTEMS CEO Bill Hoover received the WashingtonExec Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Pinnacle Awards Finalist Reception on the evening of Dec. 2 at the Ritz Carlton in McLean, Virginia.
In its fourth year, the Pinnacle Awards will take place virtually Dec. 8. The program embodies the WashingtonExec spirit of highlighting successful executives and businesses saving money and fostering innovation for federal clients across the region.
At the Pinnacle Awards Finalist Reception, Hoover and his family were joined by 175 Pinnacle Awards finalists, colleagues and sponsors as they gathered to celebrate each other’s achievements. This year’s finalists are an impressive group of mission-focused industry executives and government officials who work every day to put the technological needs of the nation first.
Upon accepting his award, Hoover gave a brief speech in which he reminisced on fond moments in his service-based career journey and noted the strength in industrywide networking. He also introduced his wife, his children, their spouses, his grandchildren and career-long colleagues — most of whom were with him that evening.
The 2021 Pinnacle Award finalists were chosen by a panel of esteemed industry judges: Corporate Director Pamela Drew, Independent Board Director and Adviser Sid Fuchs and former Perspecta Chairman and CEO Mac Curtis.
