Jeff Bohling has full responsibility for the Defense Solutions sector’s strategy development and execution, program performance and growth objectives. The sector supports the mission to keep the U.S. and citizens safe by delivering solutions to improve software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics, and fleet management to key agencies in national defense.
Bohling’s biggest achievement in 2021 was restructuring three defense organizations into one as part of an acquisition. This brought together seven business units and more than 4,100 staff across the globe.
Bohling supported the consolidation of IT, finance, HR, recruiting and other functions, resulting in an agile organization able to bring innovation and new capabilities to customers. He also ensured a smooth restructuring despite the prevalence of remote work because of pandemic restrictions.
Finally, Bohling regularly engages staff members on town hall meetings, helps them work through the challenges of migrating to new systems and positions the organization to take advantage of opportunities and grow.

Bohling and his team are heavily focused on growth this year. The combination of three organizations under Peraton has created a $7 billion powerhouse, and the Defense Solutions sector represents a durable foundation of the new Peraton.
The company has more resources, new offerings and a drive to compete at all levels for Defense Department contracts. One sector Bohling eyes for exceptional performance is terrestrial and satellite communications. “Technology, data and process tend to dominate conversations in our business, but we must recognize that it’s the relationships we have with customers, colleagues and partners that make the business successful, and we have to nurture those,” Bohling said.
