David Hathaway
Executive Vice President, General Manager, Defense Sector, ManTech
David Hathaway has been in and around the Defense Department most of his life. He grew up in the Washington, D.C., area and watched his father support the Navy as a career civil servant. When Hathaway was named general manager and executive vice president of ManTech’s defense sector, it was a highlight of his career.
“I am passionate about (DOD) missions and the people that make them happen every day,” he said. “ManTech is ideally suited and equipped to bring digital transformation to the DOD.”
Hathaway’s position enables him to roll his past experience as an active Air Force officer, IBM technologist and his experience directly supporting operational missions at Vectrus into one role.
“I have what could be considered ‘3D’ expertise bringing the best of technology, operations and mission know-how to ManTech customers,” he said.

Looking ahead, Hathaway and his team are heavily focused on bringing digital to the mission as DOD embarks on digital transformation of the organization as a key imperative that advances operational missions of all DOD agencies.
