Magellan Federal has joined the Hidden Helpers Coalition, an effort to support children in military or veteran caregiving families and the support services available to them.

At a White House event, the company joined first lady Jill Biden, Sen. Elizabeth Dole, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Denis McDonough, and Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III, and over 50 public and private sector organizations in announcing new commitments to service members and veterans.

The event coincided with Military Family Month and was hosted by the first lady’s Joining Forces Initiative. The event also announced the launch of Hidden Helpers, designed to create supportive programming and bring awareness to the 2.3 million children of wounded, ill or injured service members or veterans.

“Creating a new national model of support for Hidden Helpers is a worthy cause and one that solidly resonates with our mission at Magellan Federal,” said Magellan Federal CEO Oscar Montes.

As a Hidden Helpers Coalition member, Magellan Federal has pledged to be a thought leader on this topic and to aid in the creation of new and expanded resources and tools in support of military-connected caregiver children and youth.

“Supporting the behavioral health of military service members, veterans, civil servants and their families is what we do every day, and we are thrilled to take action at a national level,” Montes said.
