Brett Lambert has joined Enlightenment Capital’s advisory board, bringing over 30 years of experience in the defense and intelligence industry across the public and private sectors.
Lambert joins a board that includes Bob Work (former deputy secretary of defense), Gen. James “Hoss” Cartwright (former vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) and Ken Krieg (former undersecretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics), among others.
The former DOD officials’s public service includes time as the deputy assistant secretary of defense for manufacturing and industrial base policy, a role in which he was awarded the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service and the Secretary of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service, the highest award from the secretary available to a noncareer civilian.
Lambert also served as the vice president of corporate strategy at Northrop Grumman and helped build DFI International, a national security consultancy, through to a successful sale.
He serves on the boards of several organizations, including the National Defense Industrial Association and the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing Institute of Carnegie Mellon University.
