Wayne Lewandowski
Vice President of Global Sales, HyTrust
Wayne Lewandowski pointed to a number of significant successes in the last year. First, he joined HyTrust over four years ago to solidify the company for an acquisition. Taking on responsibilities to localize the messaging for key markets and develop the team, partner ecosystem and deal strategy was satisfying for him, he said.
The combined leadership team ensured a successful transition as Entrust acquired HyTrust in January, Lewandowski said.
Secondly, as the company started its first full fiscal year in Entrust in April, it added immediate value by bringing in the largest single software transaction in the history of both HyTrust and Entrust. This move created additional confidence and validation of the opportunity in front of HyTrust.
“We have been very fortunate to have talented people on the team to take our momentum and leverage it into a much bigger opportunity and scale,” Lewandowski said. “This has been my second exit in a row and has proven to be both challenging, and a rewarding time professionally.”
Cindy Provin, senior vice president of the Data Protection Solution BU, said Lewandowski is a strong sales leader with extensive public sector experience.
“He builds strong relationships resulting in growth opportunities and achieving organizational objectives,” she said. “Wayne’s leadership has enabled Entrust to protect sensitive mission objectives for DoD, US coalition partners, intelligence agencies and civilian organizations.”
Why Watch
Going forward, Lewandowski is driving the global commercial and government business for HyTrust use cases via its direct and indirect sales teams. The drivers are aligned with the company’s growing list of public sector clients from county, city, state and federal agencies.
This includes creating cryptographically secure virtual architecture in the data center cloud, and tactical environments, to defend against privileged-user abuse. Combined, this enables higher-level compliance levels for virtual infrastructure via automation tools, and provides enterprise-level encryption and key management solutions for unstructured data in the data center and cloud.
“Two of the things I have always found true in how I manage my own career in sales is, ‘The harder you work, the luckier you get’ and that if you always answer the question, ‘What is in it for them?’ (i.e. customer, partner, coworker), you will always be successful,” Lewandowski said.
