    Jennifer Chronis, Verizon

    Jennifer Chronis

Senior Vice President of Public Sector, Verizon

Verizon Public Sector has experienced significant growth through a number of contract wins that have reinforced Verizon’s leadership in the market. Verizon ranks No. 1 in enterprise infrastructure solutions federal task orders received (over 40%), including close to $890 million in Labor Department EIS awards. Also through the EIS vehicle, Verizon is overseeing a major network modernization initiative for the Air National Guard.

Building on its work with the Defense Department, earlier this year Verizon won a $495 million contract to deliver next-generation services in support of DOD’s Defense High Performance Computing Modernization Program and Defense Research and Engineering Network.

In March, Chronis led the launch of Verizon Frontline, the technology platform dedicated to meeting the unique needs of first responders and public safety agencies. Already, Verizon Frontline has announced a major win, providing network connectivity and smartphones for emergency medical services in Houston.

    Why Watch

Verizon Public Sector is a company to watch when it comes to expanding its 5G portfolio with DOD. Look for Verizon to build on its recent deal with the U.S. Air Force Reserve Command, where it was selected to deliver 5G at seven Air Force Reserve Command installations.

As DOD emphasizes the need for 5G to meet the mission of tomorrow, expect Verizon to continue its momentum in this space.
