The National Capital Area Council of Boy Scouts of America will host the 2021 Technology Good Scout Award on Nov. 3 at Tysons Corner Marriott in McLean, Virginia.
This year, the award honors Science Applications International Corp. CEO Nazzic Keene for her contributions to virtual modernization efforts for the company, its customers and IT modernization projects for government agencies.
The annual event recognizes a leader in the technology industry from within the greater Washington, D.C., area, who exemplifies the values of the Scout Oath and Law in his or her daily life.
Keene joined SAIC in 2012 and has held several increasingly responsible executive positions there, including chief operating officer, president of global markets and missions sector and senior vice president for corporate strategy.
As COO — a position she held starting in 2017 — Keene oversaw daily operations of the corporation, including its long-term strategy for sustained profitable growth. She became CEO and was elected to SAIC’s board of directors in August 2019.
SAIC Board Director Bob Bedingfield will act as the Scout Chair for the event.
