Rostin Behnam of Maryland has been selected to serve as chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and Alvaro Bedoya of Maryland has been tapped for the role of federal trade commissioner.
On the international scene, Adriana Debora Kugler of Maryland has been nominated to be U.S. executive director of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development; Maria Louise of New York as undersecretary of commerce for international trade; and Reta Jo Lewis of Georgia as president of the Export-Import Bank of the U.S.
French Hill of Arkansas, Thomas Carnahan of Missouri, Sim Farar of California and Barbara Lee of California have been picked to be representatives to the General Assembly of the United Nations.
Robert Michael Gordon of Washington, D.C., and James Arthur Jemison II of Michigan have been tapped to serve as assistant secretaries of health and human services, and Krista Anne Boyd of Florida has been selected for inspector general in the Office of Personnel Management.
