    Doug Kelly, NTT DATA

    Doug Kelly

Vice President, Federal Health and Civilian Sales, NTT DATA

Douglas Kelly has over two decades of management consulting and IT experience in the public and private sectors. The majority of this experience has come in the federal health space, and recently, his biggest achievement has been growth.

As NTT DATA continues to experience consistent year-over-year growth, Kelly said he is encouraged to see the company’s reputation and client base growing across federal health and civilian business.

The recent acquisition and integration of NETE into the organization also aligns with the company’s long-term strategies and provides a portfolio of net new federal health qualifications and client relationships at the National Institutes of Health, the Health Resources and Services Administration and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This complements NTT DATA’s existing footprint with clients such as CDC and other Department of Health and Human Services operational divisions.

Additionally, NTT DATA onboarded several executives who bring extensive health mission experience at clients such as CMS, the Food and Dug Administration, CDC, NIH, the Administration for Children and Families and HRSA. Finally, the company is operationalizing a sales architecture that brings simplicity and focus to daily efforts, leaders said.

Kelly said he was drawn to NTT DATA by its reputation as a top global IT and professional services provider, including high rankings by Gartner and within the Fortune 500. And while the company is less well-known in federal health, that status is changing thanks to its global footprint and growing expertise.

“Our results are trending positively — we’re expanding our footprint across several OpDivs this year,” Kelly said.

    Why Watch

With a large percentage of the world’s data traffic traveling through its 220-plus data centers, NTT DATA has a front row seat to clients’ efforts to move to the cloud and increase automation to help deliver services to citizens and ensure mission success.

“I read recently there are 306.4 billion emails sent every day. Some days, I feel like most of those get sent to me,” Kelly joked. “At any rate, given the unparalleled scale of the federal government’s generation of data, there’s a constant challenge with where to store it, how to use it, and how to secure it. That is where NTT DATA comes in.”
