Matt Donovan is joining the Raytheon Technologies business as vice president of customer engagement and solutions, effective Aug. 23.
“Matt brings a wealth of experience and understanding from his distinguished civil and military service,” said Roy Azevedo, president of Raytheon Intelligence & Space.
Donovan most recently served as undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness, and prior, as acting secretary of the Air Force.
He has also been undersecretary of the Air Force, held senior staff positions on the Senate Armed Services Committee and served in various civilian roles for the Air Force. Donovan retired from the Air Force as a colonel after 31 years of enlisted and officer active duty service.
“Meeting our customer commitments is job one, and we are proud to have Matt on the team, leading an area that operates on point where our commitment begins, listening to their toughest requirements and offering capable solutions to solve them,” Azevedo said.
Donovan has been awarded and honored with the Secretary of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service, Air Force Decoration for Exceptional Civilian Service, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Aerial Achievement Medal and Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
He will serve on the Raytheon Intelligence & Space senior leadership team and report directly to Azevedo.
