Jeffrey Trauberman
Vice President of Government Affairs, VOX Space
Jeff Trauberman spearheads engagement with the U.S. government at VOX Space, the subsidiary of Virgin Orbit, which focuses on providing the national security community with responsive, dedicated and affordable launch services for small satellites.
As the U.S. looks to leverage commercial innovations to modernize its space architecture and look toward the future, Trauberman and his team have played a significant role in increasing government support for rapid, responsive launch, with a particular focus on the value VOX Space’s air-launched LauncherOne system can bring to enhance U.S. space capabilities.
In addition to an upcoming launch for the Department of Defense Space Test Program, VOX Space was selected by Space Force in 2020 to launch three dedicated missions deploying multiple technology demonstrations to low-Earth orbit.
“I’ve worked at both a large space enterprise and now an emerging space leader,” Trauberman said. ”It’s been great to apply lessons learned from both these experiences to help ensure America’s continued space leadership. This is a rare moment in history to make fundamental improvements in America’s space capabilities, and it’s terrific to be a part of that endeavor.”
Why Watch
Coming on the heels of a flawless orbital launch demonstration in January 2021, VOX Space is focused on ensuring continued mission success for the team’s upcoming launch campaigns, including preparation for the first-ever launch to space from Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.
