Stacy Kubicek
Vice President of Mission Solutions, Lockheed Martin Space
Since 2020, Stacy Kubicek has led Lockheed Martin’s space line of business that develops, delivers and operates mission critical solutions for space programs with customers across the defense and intelligence communities.
Mission Solutions provides enterprise, cloud and application-based solutions for space mission management, processing and data analytics. And the unit’s ground systems operations and sustainment efforts are driving advancement for future space capabilities.
“We are focused on ensuring critical missions stay ahead of evolving threats,” Kubicek said. “Supporting Joint All-Domain Command and Control operations, we are bringing advanced capabilities forward to provide more battlespace interoperability and to get decisional data to the warfighter faster.”
The advanced technology her Mission Solutions team brings to the fight includes digital transformation tools like digital twins and software factories; industry leadership in agile/DevSecOps and cloud services; moving data processing to the edge using advanced mesh networking; using artificial intelligence and machine learning to process data even faster; and cyber engineering efforts to harden critical satellite operations against attack.
Why Watch
In February, under Kubicek’s leadership, Lockheed Martin joined the Defense Department’s Platform One program, where the company will use its DevSecOps expertise to enable faster software development and deployment and provide continuous software updates to warfighters.
Lockheed Martin’s developments in space-based 5G solutions will also have a wide range of potential defense, civil and commercial applications. This includes mobile commercial services, as well as joint all-domain interoperable communications for government and military users in contested and communications-denied environments.
