As vice president of business development for Peraton’s space and intelligence sector, John Fant oversaw all of the sector’s growth activity and was instrumental in a number of key program awards in 2020.
He supported two major corporate space campaigns focused on civil space expansion and space protection and resiliency — priority areas of interest for the U.S. government.
Thanks to his leadership, Peraton’s business development team delivered industry-leading growth with core space customers in support of their most sensitive and high-consequence missions, company leaders said.
Fant worked to build repeatable and sustainable business development and growth processes that are agile and scalable. He also worked with Peraton’s talent acquisition team to build an approach for attracting and retaining the strongest industry talent.
Why Watch
With the recent acquisition of Northrop Grumman’s integrated mission support and IT solutions business and soon-to-be acquisition of Perspecta, Fant’s main goal for 2021 and beyond is to develop and scale an industry-leading growth organization to drive the revenue goals required of a $7 billion organization.
Additionally, he is focused on establishing lasting partnerships with core customers and creating maximum, sustained value for Peraton’s stakeholders.
Already Fant has been leading industry growth in 2021 through new business awards and the expansion of Peraton’s space capabilities. As Peraton continues its trajectory, Fant wants to capitalize on the expanded space portfolio, realize the synergies of the combined organization, and provide even stronger and more sustained capabilities to Peraton customers.
Since Peraton completed its acquisition of Perspecta, Peraton has become the third largest private company in the D.C. area and one of the nation’s largest mission capability integrators and government mission IT providers, employing approximately 24,000 people with revenues of $7 billion.
