    Robert Curbeam, Maxar Technologies

Robert Curbeam joined Maxar early 2021 after transitioning his previous workforce into a work-from-home organization. His team’s health, safety and general well-being was, and remains, the top priority, he said.

Coming into Maxar, Curbeam’s first goal was to build a well-connected team despite being a new leader in an already remote working environment.

“Sales and business development in the space industry are done in person — that’s just how it works,” he said. “Our business relationships are built on trust — trust not only in technology and advanced capabilities, but trust in the team behind the products. I cannot wait to see our customers learn more about their ever-growing technology needs, and develop creative space solutions that help them achieve their goals beyond expectations.”

    Why Watch

Key wins have positioned Maxar for success as the company progresses in diversifying its space infrastructure business across commercial, civil and national security programs. With decades of flight heritage, Maxar’s technology provides critical solutions for in-space needs, including satellite platforms, power, propulsion, robotics and communications, company leaders said.

More than anything else, Curbeam is looking forward to seeing key customers in person in 2021.
