Andrea Inserra was selected as the leader of Booz Allen’s aerospace account team in April 2020. Since that time, she has revitalized the firm’s space business through a new strategy that brings together work across the defense and civilian space missions, including the Space Force, Air Force, NASA and NOAA.
Despite pandemic conditions, she has driven closer collaboration across the teams supporting the space business in Los Angeles, Colorado Springs, Houston and Washington, D.C. And she has led work to bring stronger infrastructure for these teams.
Why Watch
Space continues to be a top priority for Booz Allen’s business given the rapid democratization of the domain, the proliferation of low-Earth orbit satellites, and a massive increase in space assets and stakeholders.
In 2021, Inserra’s team is focused on execution of the firm’s space strategy with specific emphasis on open architecture ground system development, becoming a trusted technical integrator of space systems, domain awareness, traffic management and climate study.
“The space market and environment are undergoing significant change with new threats, new challenges, new players and new opportunities,” Inserra said. “I am excited that Booz Allen is well positioned to bring many of our unique capabilities like data platform and ground system development, artificial intelligence/machine learning, data analytics and cyber capabilities to help our military, civil and commercial partners solve their most difficult problems.”
