    2021 Chief Officer Award Winner: Private Company COO Sean Morris, Deloitte

    Sean Morris, principal and chief operating officer at Deloitte, has won WashingtonExec’s 2021 Chief Officer Award for Private Company COO.

    In its second year, the Chief Officer Awards luncheon was held May 27 as a virtual live-streamed program to recognize C-suite executives in both industry and government for their innovation, expertise, impact and thought leadership.

    As COO for Deloitte’s more than $4 billion U.S. Government & Public Services business, Morris has day-to-day operational responsibility for 16,000 U.S. and globally deployed personnel. Morris oversees a comprehensive future of work transformation across human resources, IT, facilities, contracts, finance, security, compliance, marketing and business development.

    Prior to his current role, Morris was Deloitte’s GPS human capital leader. He’s also held director-level positions with BearingPoint.

    Morris has a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from the University of Oregon, and a master’s degree in international relations and affairs from American University.
