Mike Pizzuto understands the ever-evolving threat to U.S. domain superiority in space and its impact on the future of national defense strategy and has been instrumental in Avantus Federal’s entry into the space domain.
As Avantus’ business development executive focused on defense growth, Pizzuto established Avantus’ initial space campaign that served as a go-to market campaign. His leadership and guidance generated $20 million in annual revenue within the first 12 months with two major space contract wins — Space Force and the Space Development Agency.
“Avantus has assembled an incredible team of eminent leaders and practitioners that will drive our expansion within the space market,” Pizzuto said. “In addition to the missions we support today, we are on the verge of announcing a major effort to expand our capabilities in the area of space launch — and that’s just the beginning.”
Pizzuto ensures the Avantus approach aligns with the priorities, needs and goals of customers and the larger stakeholder community, company leaders said. In 2021, he is continuing this focus as well as working to expand Avantus’ space domain capabilities and reach.
