System High Corp. has named retired Air Force Col. Michael “Bear” Newsom vice president of acquisitions and operations.
With nearly four decades of cyberspace, security and mentoring expertise, Newsom will work to continue delivery of System High’s lifecycle protection services and solutions.
System High Chief Operating Officer Sarah Lord said Newsom is “a proven leader, mentor, and trailblazer and we are fortunate to have him as part of our leadership team.”
“Mike will be playing a vital role in strengthening critical missions, programs, operations, and intelligence activities for our customers,” she added.
Before joining System High in 2021, Newsom spent 39 years in the U.S. Air Force. His last assignment as the commander of the 737th Training Group at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.
His other assignments included performing as the J9 deputy director of current capabilities, and deputy chief information officer at U.S. Cyber Command, where he led senior military and civilian leaders, joint officers/civilians and contractors to meet operational cyber needs.
