Akima’s subsidiary Sunik has been awarded a contract to support the U.S. Special Operations Command J4 and Special Operations Forces Acquisition Technology and Logistics.

The contract calls for implementation and maintenance of the Defense Property Accountability System Warehouse, Maintenance & Utilization, Registry, Property Accountability, Force Management, and Materiel Management modules across all Special Operation Forces’ supply support activities.

The estimated value of the contract is $23.9 million over five years if all options are exercised.

“DPAS plays a significant role in the facilitation of rapid and focused acquisition, technology and logistics support to today’s warfighters,” said Scott Rauer, president of Akima’s Facilities Solutions Group. “We are pleased to provide the USSOCOM J4 with an experienced team of experts to ensure the operational readiness of this mission critical system.”

Under this contract, approximately 30 to 50 support personnel will deliver materiel management services across the SOF Enterprise, including locations in Tampa, Florida and Lexington, Kentucky.
