Federal market intelligence and research consultancy The Pulse of GovCon has been awarded a research grant through the Open Contracting Partnership.

The goal of the grant is to advance the Open Contracting Data Standards, or OCDS, within federal procurement and contracting data sources.

“We are thrilled for the opportunity to work with the Open Contracting Partnership on this advocacy initiative,” said The Pulse co-owner and co-founder Lisa Mundt. “The Pulse was founded on the idea that U.S. Government Contract data should be streamlined and transparent, so teaming up with the OCP will offer a natural focal point for collaboration.”

As the only international open standard for the publication of government planning, procurement and contracting, the implementation of OCDS increases the quality and efficacy of data and documentation throughout the contracting process.

Through this partnership, The Pulse and OCP aim to streamline the contracting process associated with urgent, worldwide issues, empowering U.S. governmental sectors with the ability to advance at the pace demanded by today’s rapidly changing world.
