Magellan Federal will continue providing support for ID cards issued to Navy service members and their families under a recently announced contract worth up to $84 million.

Magellan Federal, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Magellan Health, has been doing this work since August 2019 and will provide services for up to another 5.5 years under the Identification Card Administration support services contract. The company currently serves more than 900,000 customers, providing services for Common Access Cards, which are used for members of the Navy and eligible family members to obtain certain benefits and privileges.

Magellan Federal will continue operating and maintaining the CAC workstations, processing CACs, and providing application guidance for eligible customers at 68 Navy installations worldwide.

“Our team has demonstrated our capacity to manage the highly complex, detail-oriented services on the Navy ICA program, including our rapid response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said CEO Oscar Montes.

“Faced with unprecedented challenges, we were able to ensure continuity of quality services to the Navy, and we are proud to be awarded the opportunity to continue this important work,” Montes said.

The new contract has one base year and four and a half option years.
