Ernst & Young LLP has named Alexandra “Alex” Gurney its federal civilian and security accounts leader for the Government & Public Sector practice.
Gurney joined the Government & Public Sector practice of EY US in 2011 to help grow its presence within the civilian sector of the federal government. As a principal, she leads account teams serving the Transportation Department, the General Services Administration and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, among other clients.
Earlier in her career, Gurney served clients in the Global Public Sector practice at Grant Thornton.
In 2020, Gurney was selected as an Honoree for the Washington Business Journal’s Minority Business Leader Awards, which honor successful and influential minority executives and business owners who have exhibited outstanding performance both professionally and in their community.
