WashingtonExec’s Amanda Ziadeh catches up with Sandy Gillespie, chief operating officer of Excella, to talk pandemic challenges, companywide inclusion and diversity efforts, and how to look toward the future. Gillespie joined Excella in March, right at the start of the pandemic, and speaks reflectively on how she has helped handle pandemic-related challenges. The firm is also addressing inclusion, diversity and equity-related areas, and Gillespie discusses those internal initiatives in the works to address and adapt to current social needs. And in terms of a 2021 outlook, we asked Gillespie how she and her team are working with the firm’s workforce and clients to move forward.
