Launching a corporate brand refresh, executing a significant organizational restructuring, delivering on customer and shareholder commitments and strengthening technology capabilities are just a few of the 2020 achievements for Jennifer Felix and her team as she took the helm in April 2020.
Taking the reigns as president and CEO in the midst of a global pandemic and social unrest was a challenging dynamic for a new leader tasked with gaining the confidence of more than 7,500 employees supporting mission critical activities of federal customers.
“I believe that staying humble and leading with compassion and conviction are essential in navigating a team through unprecedented times,” Felix said. “As a company, we’ve learned a great deal about who we are and where we can improve. I am confident we are emerging from 2020 as a better, more thoughtful organization in every regard.”
As part of ASRC Federal’s holistic approach, Felix’s team placed emphasis on developing partnerships with major cloud service providers, delivering cloud-forward edge solutions to mission customers in need of rapid deployment and data intensive enterprises, and embraced and agile transformation approach — developing modernization roadmaps for customers.
Beyond the focus on technology, Felix noted a continued focus and growth of ASRC Federal’s complementary core offerings, including engineering, infrastructure operations and professional services.
Why Watch
ASRC Federal’s organizational structure includes three new customer-focused operating groups: Space, Defense & Intel, and Civilian & Health. Creating and realizing synergies from combining their customer teams, while continuing to focus on knowledge sharing and talent development through its Centers of Excellence is a major focus for Felix in 2021.
“Part of our organization’s evolution is to create mechanisms for collaboration across the business as we grow,” she said. “We will continue to push forward — focusing on customer engagement, providing robust learning and development opportunities for our people while staying true to our culture. I am excited to see the benefits of these changes and hopefully getting together in person when it is safe to do so in 2021.”
