Technology solutions company ECS announced it has been awarded a 5-year, $28.8 million contract by the U.S. Marine Corps’s Department of Manpower and Reserve Affairs.

ECS is to provide M&RA with IT service and support, enabling the department to efficiently manage and expand its HR initiatives across all USMC active and reserve members.

“ECS is honored to continue supporting the Manpower and Reserve Affairs mission,” said Luis “CC” Colon-Castro, vice president of mission systems at ECS. “By deploying, securing, and innovating the Marine Corps cloud environments, ECS continues to help our nation’s military solve their most pressing manpower challenges.”

Through this firm-fixed-price recompete contract, ECS is to build on previous work helping USMC develop agile resource and manpower allocation systems.

Through application development, IT service management, program management and information assurance, ECS will provide post-deployment software support to the department’s Manpower Information Portal, which contains all web content and applications managed by M&RA.

ECS will also support the department’s 50+ cloud-based applications, ensuring M&RA meets the data center closure deadlines set by the Defense Department’s consolidation efforts.
