SOS International LLC has named former CIA Chief of Data Science Barbara Stevens as CEO of its Exovera subsidiary, which provides media analysis and monitoring.
Stevens spent 35 years in CIA and received multiple awards, including the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal, for her innovative and transformative service during her career there. She has also worked as an industry consultant, helping agencies and contractors navigate change management, big data analytics, cloud migration and advance their corporate diversity initiatives.
Stevens’ “expertise and insights will help us optimize the big data solutions we are developing to accelerate their adoption and ease their integration into government analytic workflows and agency operations,” said SOSi President and CEO Julian Setian.
Exovera develops software solutions that enhance the collection, exploitation and analysis of data to drive government decision-making.
“We view Exovera as a key discriminator in the government technology solutions market,” said SOSi Chief Operating Officer John Avalos. “Dr. Stevens will help us leverage SOSi’s experience in delivering mission-enabling software, intelligence analysis, and language services to develop new deep learning software and tools that address emerging customer needs.”
Stevens has a doctorate from Florida State University in mathematical statistics.
